Whether it’s a girls’ night, mommy-daughter day, or a relaxing evening by yourself, we have the supplies for a natural DIY spa day. When we say all natural, we mean products made without preservatives, BPAs, and we only use natural colorants and essential oils.
When designing your own spa day you will want elements that encompass most, if not all, of your senses. By doing this, you will be setting the mood with:
Scent
Lighting
Texture
Sound
Taste
Set a date and make sure that it will be a time that you can actually relax. Next, order the items that you need. Then, to prep the space, clean it at least a day before your spa day so that we will be able to relax and it will be clutter-free.
To adjust the lighting:
Beeswax candles are the ideal alternative to conventional candles and artificial lights. We have beeswax candles available, which have been meticulously crafted. Attention has been given to every detail in the crafting of these beeswax candles: curating artistic molds, rigorously testing wicks, and triple-filtering wax to ensure every candle burns cleanly, drip-free, and beautifully. Taste:
Maybe your ideal snack and drink is sparkling water and seasoned popcorn, maybe it is a slice of cheesecake and a small glass of wine, or maybe it is a warm mug of tea and a cookie.
Something to taste is like a cherry on top, for a spa day. While not necessary, it adds to the full sensory experience. We have 5 lovely herbal teas in stock but for a spa day we would recommend the ‘Calm’ blend. It offers the benefits of invigorating and relaxing herbs such as lavender and peppermint while also helping you adapt to your stresses with the adaptogenic herb, Tulsi.

Sound:
Music tastes can vary so much from person to person, but the tempo of the music and the intensity have a huge effect on whether the music is calming and relaxing. Since music taste is such a personal preference, we won’t recommend any specific playlists, but we will recommend that you play your favorite calming playlist, search for Lo-fi songs, or search for calming playlists, etc.
When you play your music, consider volume. You will want it to be heard, but not so loud that you feel like you have to yell so that you can talk.
Touch:
Soft is one of the characteristics that comes to mind when considering which towel, some natural fiber socks, or a natural fiber bathrobe would be ideal for a spa day.
Scent:
The sense of smell can be the most fun, customizable, and can even affect the emotional experience. Research shows that using lavender essential oil can actually reduce depression symptoms. (1)
Under the lighting recommendations, we mentioned beeswax candles, which offer a light, honey-like scent. But we have many scent-related products we think you will love. Let’s get started:
For a spa day, we would recommend:
- Prepare your beverage of choice and gather your snack. Find a place to put these items near your tub or bed.
- Heat our Therapeutic Lavender Comfort Pack (linked) and throw the pack on you, while you listen to your favorite music. Wait for the bath tub to fill, and enjoy the benefits of heat, with lavender essential oils and lavender buds. For more calming effects, add 1 cup of epsom salt to your bathwater.

- Place a Natural Konjac Facial Cleansing Sponge (linked) near your bath and a Bamboo Pedicure 4 in 1 Tool (linked). You will use both these items to exfoliate while taking a bath. The Facial sponge will be for your face, and the Pedicure tool will be for any problem spots you have on your feet.
- After your bath, it is time to truly enjoy your sense of smell. We recommend you try our Frankincense Tallow Balm with Castor Oil (linked) for your face and body.
- Once you have a balm on your face, try using a cold Rose Quartz Gua Sha Facial Stone (linked) and running it along your face in an upward motion. This will help sculpt your face while also toning your face.
