What started as a small idea four years ago has grown into something much bigger—but we’ve never lost sight of what matters most: making good products with good ingredients and supporting small businesses along the way.

Dandelion Naturals is a small, independently owned natural products manufacturer based in Hayfield, Minnesota. Every product that carries the Dandelion Naturals name is made by us, in our own production facility, from raw materials using our own recipes and formulations.

If It Says Dandelion Naturals, We Made It.

We don’t buy premade products and put our label on them. If it says Dandelion Naturals on the label, we made it. That commitment to making our own products allows us to have control over every step of the process—from choosing ingredients and developing formulations to manufacturing, packaging, fulfillment, and shipping. We believe that control matters because it allows us to maintain the quality and integrity we expect from every product we put our name on.

Our Process

Handcrafted in small batches in rural Minnesota, Dandelion Naturals began four years ago with a single product: cold process bar soap. What started at the kitchen counter has grown into a thoughtfully developed line of handcrafted natural skincare products — including shave bars, lip balms, medicinal salves, shampoo and conditioner bars, lotion bars, and nourishing tallow balm.

Our roots remain the same. We continue to use the traditional cold process method for our soaps, which preserves the naturally occurring glycerin — one of nature’s most effective moisturizers. Unlike many commercially produced bars that remove glycerin as a by-product, we keep it right where it belongs: in your soap.

Each bar is cured for a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks, creating a hard, long-lasting product with no lye remaining and ingredients preserved at their highest quality.

As our line has expanded, so has our commitment to simple, effective ingredients and small-batch craftsmanship. Whether it’s a bar of soap, a soothing salve, or a nourishing balm, every product is made with intention — designed to support healthy skin without unnecessary additives.

Meet Michelle, Our Founder

Founder, wife, mom, nature lover, and tuned into all things natural, Michelle Hamilton is the heartbeat behind Dandelion Naturals. A retired nurse of 21 years, Michelle’s eyes were opened to a whole new world of wellness after a visit to a holistic chiropractor in 2011 sparked her passion for the power of eating real food. Years later, Dandelion Naturals was born and developed over several months after big, unexpected career changes led Michelle to embrace her love for natural living. Eager to create and share impactful, intentional natural products, Michelle dove right in with both hands and feet with the support of her faith and loving husband.

Bright yellow dandelions are widespread on the Hamilton homestead in southeast Minnesota in the early spring. These tiny wildflowers, representing the return of life and the rebirth of growth and green after a harsh winter, display abundant strength and power. For Michelle, the dandelion symbolizes resilience, hope, and healing. They remind her of the time of year her daughter was born, a season blossoming with life. Dandelion Naturals is a sweet reminder of the bounty and resilience of nature’s beauty and the love we can show our skin using ingredients picked from the Earth.

Among the dandelions, Michelle raises hens for eggs, has a small plot for gardening food, and spends time with her farm cat and two Yorkies. She infuses oils for her soaps with dandelions picked on her homestead, and she and her husband dream of growing herbs on their 10 acres to use in their products. She invites you to enjoy nature in all its remedies, no matter how simple.
